The Flower Bazaar is headed by Catherine Whitehouse, who got her first taste of floristry through a work experience placement whilst still at school. Having discovered a talent and enthusiasm for floristry , she was kept on working through the school holidays and on weekends until she moved up to Scotland to study for a BA in Philosophy. During the four year degree, Catherine worked as a florist for a bridal shop, styling weddings and gaining valuable experience. By the end of her degree it was clear that the creative world of floristry was where she wanted to be. After a brief spell travelling, Catherine moved back south to Petersfield to set up the business close to her family. During a year spent working locally in order to raise the money to fund the start- up, Catherine attended a course at a leading flower arranging school in Knightsbridge gaining a floristry qualification. The Flower Bazaar had its first booking in May 2010 for a large- scale wedding, which proved a huge success and the business has blossomed from there.
The company are dedicated to providing local clients with custom- made beautiful designs, offering the best in quality, backed by a warm, professional and personal service.
The new venture has been both exciting and fulfilling. The ethos behind the company is to offer individual products of the highest quality which represent value for money, and yet still retain the personal touch missing from many of the high street chains. Thank you to those who attended the Spring Floristry one day workshop at the Tithe Barn. We had a fantastic day of floristry covering all basic techniques and tips to enable you to create your own floral arrangements. Below are some pictures of our most recent workshop.
